A POS system or Point Of Sale (POS) system is a combo of hardware devices and software which processes payment after making sales transactions, updates inventory and record other transaction types within the retail businesses. POS System is software that helps sellers’ to manage inventory, sales, accept payments, and generate a receipt for the purpose of sale to the customers.

Humanization of POS system makes the whole operation of a business more effective since it uses IT tools to automate its core sales function. Actually, this is a useful tool to numerous businesses and industries. Once they are enabled, they provide useful insights and improve customer service level.

POS serves as the central hub where acquiring and selling products i.e. retail transactions occur. It zealously carry out transactions other than processing payments as well.
